Why chose to walk-on at Nebraska:
"Oh you know why I chose NEBRASKA.  The tradition, the coaches, the FOOD!  Walking on the field in late January with snow on the field it was classic..."

What was your team's record last year?  Do you have any stats you want to share?
"7-3 record.  I graded out 91% blocking and had 101 tackles with no sacks allowed ..."

Were there any athletes from your school/area that you tried to imitate?  What about college/pro athletes?
"The only person I liked in college was Joel Mackovica, and pro I loved Howie Long.  I liked Howie because he was just like me, no technique just go get their ass..."

Do you think major colleges overlook small-school guys just because they don't get the publicity?
"Oh hell yeah we had a kid from our school that moved away because of football.  His name is Barry Odom (linebacker at Missou).  He got no pub at Maysville but when he moved away he was the stud.  Same as a kid in his grade who moved to Duncan a 5a school he was Duncan's stud..."

When did you visit Nebraska for the first time?  What did you think about Lincoln, the university, and the athletic facilities?
"In late January I didn't get to see Lincoln very much.  The university was great, the facilities were the best I have ever seen.  I just cant wait to get in the weight room up there."

Did the coaches at Nebraska introduce you to any current walk-ons?  Did they name walk-ons who went on to receive 'ships and/or have NFL careers?
"They told me about all the walk-ons that had success and said they make a living off their walk-ons.  Coach Tenopir laid it all out on the table.  He told me about what is expected of me and what he wanted of me."

Was it tough deciding to walk-on at Nebraska?  Let's face it, the name Nebraska probably doesn't conjure up warm and fuzzy feelings for most Oklahomans.  Were there any other schools you considered accepting scholarships or walk-on invitations from?
"Well yeah on signing day Colorado called me and offered but I called my coach and talked to my parents, then I called Coach Tenopir.  He told me to do what felt the best to me and my family.  He also told me that I would get treated right there at NEB.  So I decided to stay, I just couldn't turn it down."

What did the coaches tell you about walking on at Nebraska?  Chances for earning a scholarship?  What about redshirting?  Away games?  Bowl games?  Suiting up for home games?   Running out of the tunnel?
"Well Coach Tenopir told me about my situation and what he thought my status about playing, which I'm going to keep to myself, but he said if I work really hard and learn the system I could play a lot my Soph season."

You're projected as a Center at Nebraska, right?  What do you know about the current depth at center?
"I don't know a lot just what I get out of the program, and that Dom is a complete STUD.  Just like every position you have to play your butt off to get playing time."

What about your game do you think will make you stand out here?
"For a center I think I am big.  I need to work on technique, I mean I never had a line coach or anything, I just go.  I'm really rough around the edges."

What games or opponents are you excited about as a Husker?
"Every team that didn't pay me attention and all Oklahoma teams I cant wait."

What course of study (if any) are you looking at right now?
"Sports Management."
